Oldschool Gaming - reviewing new games on classic computers
Sillyventure 2010 (Atari 8-bit) releases :: posted by Jason :: 16 Dec 2010

The Silliventure 2010 party was held last weekend and with it came a couple of games for the Atari 8-bit. The first is Go Elwood Go and it's a run and gun affair featuring a rather oddly-coloured Elwood Blues (of Blues Brothers infamy) haring along the street on a mission from God whilst leaping over and shooting various obstacles.

The second game is incorporated into the demo Inverse Part 2 and is at least a partial conversion of Martech's W.A.R. from the BBC Micro - it's a vertically scrolling shoot 'em up that uses a small play area rendered in grey on black high resolution and the original was pretty hard to play so adding the extra distraction of a scroller over the top... eek!
