I'll have to get my skates on... i'm not sure i'll be able to get anything done for mine, but in my defence i did tell Dave that time would be an issue!!

Well, it's getting there... meet Callisto for the Atari 8-bit, which will hopefully be released on the Oldschool Gaming stand at Replay in around a week's time!

Looking good! I know that a few people have been working on new games to release at the event. How many do you think you'll be showcasing, or is that a secret? Just a few days to go now, so I guess it's time to stop programming my Byte Back game and package everything up into a handy .tap file.

Well, i'm still not entirely sure even at this stage but we've got Dingo and hopefully Reaxion for the Spectrum, the previously unreleased Atari 2600 original of Blok Copy (although it's still away being tested on real hardware right now since that was never done originally and i've improved the visuals about a month ago anyway), the horizontally scrolling shooter i've been working on for the Atari 8-bit called Callisto that's just one level and some balancing away from being complete (there's a screenshot on my blog) and a C64 gallery shooter called Out-Space if all goes well. Kenz has two new C64 releases on the Psytronik stand as well, blasty compilation Shoot 'Em Up Destruction Set 2 and puzzler Oracle 3. There's some Atari 7800 games to showcase as well but i've not been given final details on those yet - but i do know that we're going to have the very first public showing of the brand new XM expansion cartridge for the 7800 that adds a POKEY for sound and extra RAM, the games being released are designed around it. Preview showings should include something from Jarrod Bentley and Sean Gee (who were hoping to release a game but sadly haven't had the time), yourself if that's okay (and i'll pop Coracle on for a bit too) and hopefully some of the RGCD C64 16K cartridge competition entries. After that we're just leaving cool stuff like The Keep for the VIC 20 or Prince of Persia for the C64 if the hardware turns up for that (Kenz says he'll be running the latter as well). This list is subject to change... =-)

Reaxion is in the 'minor tweaking' phase at the moment.
Just got to put all the music in place and sort out any little quirks that might pop up and then it's good to go I think

(i'm off to Blackpool early-ish on Friday morning! =-) Edit: whilst i'm posting, here's one i prepared earlier - the enemy sprites haven't been sorted yet (the first wave is being used to test animations that went in yesterday) and i still haven't got level 4 done because i'm wasting time making videos, but...

No, I don't mean in that way... i'm not sure what it is at the moment, but i felt hideous yesterday and spent three quarters of it in bed; today i'm improved and spent a few hours sorting out the Oldschool Gaming stand's machines into boxes for tomorrow morning so i'm presumably getting better, but i'm propped up on painkillers and still have aches, pains and a constant headache. Bleh.

Well I'll see you down there sometime tomorrow afternoon, maybe around 3pm, but who knows what I'll be distracted by on the way round.

Sorry TMR, it's just dawned upon me that I forgot to re-define the keys of Dingo back to the Sinclair joystick when I'd finished playing with it. Sorry about that.
Best I could do was 30000 anyway. Rather pathetic.
