Just in case you have missed the link on the main site, OSG offers a beginners "course" for programming the C64 called the "Hex Files".

Visit the Hex Files pages here...

Gratuitous plug ends... ;)

The Hex Files have disappeared from the new build of the site? Gone forever? A valuable resource lost?

:(

EDIT: Just found it here:
http://www.oldschool-gaming.com/view_ar ... ex_files_1

There is no direct link from the site itself anywhere?

Oops, i knew i forgot something! When the site went through the rebuild i wanted to combine the index pages into one all-purpose one that loads an XML - i left that functionality out whilst getting everything up and running and forgot about it afterwards!

[Writes it down on the "to do" list.]

Ok. Thanks for the heads up.

I have a few people over on the Arkanix Labs website forum interested in it. I've provided them the direct link to part 1, but will edit my post if you provide a more appropriate link from whatever page on the OSG site.

Right, that's been modified now; the old link at the start of the thread will auto forward to the revised page address and it's all integrated quite neatly into the article index system (which means future articles won't need special stand-alone pages).

The links on that page are a little empty, i'll try to get more added for the next update and any suggestions'd be good. =-)
